Creating a Low Carbon Workspace in Welwyn Garden City

Point Electrical were chosen by Capital Belting to complete electrical works on their office and warehouse in Welwyn Garden City to make the premises more energy efficient. Capital Belting are a manufacturer of all types of drive, transmission and conveyor belts to a wide range of industries.

Point Electrical completed a full electrical review of the premises and recommended a number of alterations to help Capital Belting create a Low Carbon Workspace.

All of the office lighting was upgraded from fluorescent lights to more efficient LED units which are also low glare. In addition, we installed occupancy sensors in areas such as the toilets, store rooms, kitchen and staff breakout areas to reduce unnecessary lighting.

In a number of areas we replaced the existing hand dryers with more efficient Dyson Airblade dryers and completed the installation of an instantaneous boiling tap to reduce the need for continual boiling of water.
