We have had the pleasure and privilege to provide electrical services to many public sector and commercial businesses throughout Hertfordshire, London and Berkshire – all of whom give us repeat business; a true testament to the level of service you’ll receive and the quality of our work.
Whatever the operational needs of your business we will, where possible, accommodate the needs and work outside of office hours. We also work with many clients who need us to adhere to confidentiality agreements, health and safety measures and risk assessments – all of which are accepted and provided.
Safety & Green Electrics
Electrical safety is paramount to our electricians and from consultation to invoice and beyond we will advise you on the future safety and care of your electrical set up. Point Electrical was also designed to embrace sustainable, green energy options, so as well as offering electrical design, our electricians are also trained to discuss ways to make your electricity greener.
Our Commercial and Industrial Services
Our electricians all have previous experience of completing electrical work for large and small commercial clients and are hand-picked for their tenacity, dedication, skill and professionalism. We invest in our people; not only are our team electrically-qualified, but they develop and expand their knowledge and skill throughout their career with us by attending regular certified training and new-to-industry seminars.
EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report)
What is an EICR?
All of our Electricians are able to carry out an Electrical Installation Condition Report by performing a series of inspections and electrical tests to make sure your installation(s) continue to conform to the national safety standard set out by the IET Wiring Regulations.
An EICR will:
– Identify any defective electrics
– Highlight any potential shock and fire hazards
– Bring to our attention any imminently dangerous conditions
– Discover any lack of earthing or bonding
– Provide us with a circuit schedule
– Locate any of your electrical circuits or equipment that is overloaded
Why is an EICR needed?
In layman’s terms, you cannot see electricity and can’t determine whether it is safe or not just by looking at it. An EICR is needed to inspect electrics and test to see whether they are safe or at risk.
All electrical installations deteriorate over time and more often than not, have been added to or altered by unskilled and/or unregistered people. This can cause dangerous electrics and hazardous conditions that must be rectified as soon as possible; Which is why it is imperative that we regularly monitor the integrity of all installations in order to reduce the risk of harm to human life or livestock on or around the premises.
